From Facebook:
George Martin was a big hero of mine, my favourite record producer. There were millions of questions I would have liked to ask him. It's so sad that I won't get to ask them now. I only met him a few times and I was always in awe of him. His productions were brilliant. He created his own sound. Jeff Lynne

It's so sad to hear of George's death. I was shocked to year it yesterday on the news, I was also shocked to hear he was 90! A grand old age.
A lot of emphasis has been put on his Beatles work but let's not forget everything else he did. He produced Peter Sellers, Matt Monro (the first person release 'Yesterday' as a single), Flanders and Swann and many famous children's songs. And also this marvellous piece -
Does this mean Jeff is the last Beatles producer (discounting Phil who I presume is still detained)?
