Italia '90 - when soccer supporters were kings. Charlie, John and Jack What a heroic campaign that was. They even made things really complicated for Italy in the quarterfinals. Funny thing is that they made it there without winning (or losing) one single game.

Buttler, talking about Atalanta, did you see how hard done they were the other day against Juventus? IMO none of those two were penalties, the first one by no means. It reminded me of when Juve bought championships back in the '00s.

Buttler , talking about Atalanta, did you see how hard done they were the other day against Juventus? IMO none of those two were penalties, the first one by no means. It reminded me of when Juve bought championships back in the '00s. After watching the two games between Atalanta and Valencia (last February) , I told a friend of mine: "Atalanta will win the CL".
4-1, 3-4, scored 8 goals!!! Pretty unbelievable...
87 goals scored in 32 games of Serie A, that's uncanny!
Take a look at their strikers: Josip Iličić, Duván Zapata, Luis Muriel and a player you probably know : Alejandro "Papu" Gómez.
Even their midfielders are not so bad : Michaël Goossens, Hans Hateboer, Marten de Roon, Remo Freuler.
But above all the way they play together... It's a feast for the eyes! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvssu5499ZY).
I honestly think that next year they can even fight for Scudetto.
It's incredible how they have improved in the last few years. The first time they qualified for the EL, they won their "Round" playing against more important teams such as Lione and Everton.
Last year, their first qualification to the CL in their history. They lost the first three games, but then... Wow... 7 pts in 3 games, they won the last match away in Ukraine (Shakhtar Donetsk).
Keep up the good work guys, and make Bergamo dream (the most affected city in Italy by the Covid-19).
I know it will be very hard and unlike to happen, but you never know.
So, Forza Atalanta!!!

I agree, what Atalanta is achieving is fantastic, and all of it with a brilliant playing style, in spite of not having major stars or big names like rich teams do. It reminds me a bit of Leicester 2015-2017 (that year they made the UCL quarterfinals too), but with a more offensive and attractive style. It would be great to see them close this historic campaign in good form.
My parents have friends who live in Bergamo. I was surprised to know that in spite of living there their kids didn't cheer for Atalanta but for Juventus because they thought Atalanta was too small a club to cheer for (this was a couple of decades ago). I wonder what they are thinking now.

I am not a soccer/football fan but I keep an eye on the Birmingham Blues. They play Mr. Blue Sky as the team takes the field which makes them THE COOLEST team in all of sports. I cannot name a single player and have no idea who coaches but I do check the game stats and know that they're not a very good team. I have a question. I know that pre-season starts in July, I think, and ends about the first week in May? Why are they playing now? Is this a new season? Confusion! Also, is anybody else here a Blues fan? (I haven't read all the posts to know.)

The season is running late this year due to Covid, games were postponed for a number of months. There are two games left now for each team in the Championship.

Tough game Horace it wasnt an easy watch, we missed KP, but still got the 3pts. I refuse to say we are up until we are completely over the line. Hope it happens before the Charlton game.

One point to go, unless WBA or Brentford drop points. Tough game Horace it wasnt an easy watch, we missed KP, but still got the 3pts. I refuse to say we are up until we are completely over the line. Hope it happens before the Charlton game. Horrible game yesterday but we got the points which is the main thing. Let’s hope WBA drop points tonight we can then breathe a sigh of relief.

Yes I spent the second half clock watching. Helder Costa injury looked bad, doubt if he will be playing.

No one like/supports Jeff Lynne's favorite team?! Shocking!
