Have you been on the vino? Ha! No... not yet, but you can be sure I will soon enough. Nah, I put that because I fight with BSJ over "Midnight Blue". I say it's a masterpiece and she totally despises it, calling it "Midnight Poo". She will understand when she sees it. Midnight Blue is absolutely drivel compared to the masterpieces that are Dont Walk Away or 21st Century Man. I havent listened to Discovery for years, so I might be doing it a disservice. Anyway, have you got any mistakes you can offer. I expected someone to come forward with a catalogue of them so I could spend the weekend listening

I think "21st Century Man" is a real masterpiece and "Don't walk away" is a great song. However, no ballad is better than "Midnight Blue" in my book.
No, unfortunately I can't recall any particular mistake I have realized about in the ELO studio songs. I'm not that much meticulous to tell the truth and I don't have such a good ear. In any case, I'll try to listen more attentively and if I realize about any I'll come and comment it here.

Excellent. I'm hoping that there's some ELO nerds on here that can highlight a few moments of un-musical bilge for my enjoyment.
I could play the bass line to Last train to London on Tuba, but it just lacked something.

My favorite bass line.
Is the drum muck up at 2:40?

jackpunch , jackpunch... "Don't Walk Away" a masterpiece!!!? To me it's on par with Midnight Poo. BUT! If I had to pick one over the other, Midnight Poo would win.

And hey, I'm gladly surprised that you consider "Midnight Poo" to be better than other song. It's a start. Next thing you know, you became a fan of it.

Awha? What what reads? *puzzled* It's no use asking me anything complicated at this stage of a Saturday night, on the wrong side of a bucket of cheap red

Ha! The two heads of the monster unsuccesfully squeezing their brains over something that's so simple as a lot of gibberish with the word "MidnightPoo" hidden in the middle... lol
That's what in Spanish we call "drowning in a glass of water".
