Getting chickens to take medicine is a similar struggle... Dr. C ended up with medicine in her eye instead of her beak, once.

Getting chickens to take medicine is a similar struggle... Dr. C ended up with medicine in her eye instead of her beak, once. Very familiar, even though I'm not a pet owner. It was a two person operation to get medicine into our son when he was a toddler with frequent ear infections, and even then, it was not easy. We had to pin him down, and it made us feel so sad and guilty at first! He would go into a rage/ panic when we held him down. He would even spit out the medicine at us in anger sometimes. Poor little guy. I'm glad those days are over!

eloneenAww, poor kiddo! Ear infections are really painful; my brother had to have his tonsils out, because he got them frequently as well. I am glad for you all that those days are over, too!
