Hi,I have recently started to use Discogs to collect. I would like to know if thats the best website or if there are other better sites.

I have been using Discogs for a few months and really like it. It is a great resource, however I sometimes find better deals on ebay.

I agree with joeyjoejoejr .
I use both ebay and discogs and like both. Discogs seems more reliable and "grown up" while ebay seems quicker and more detailed, plus you get a lot more pictures on ebay instead of buying blind as you mostly do on discogs.
I've also found that discogs tends to result in better gems. By that I mean it's the equivalent of a slow flea market rummage rather than eBay's fast moving shop window display.
The vinyl I bought from discogs ranged from mint to musty but all decent stuff while on ebay I felt that I had to ask deeper questions than on discogs to confirm I had the right music I was looking for - people tend not to be as informed on ebay (they confuse editions or forget to include disc 2 in a set etc.).
I'm a fan of discogs if only for the OOTB CD with lyric book I found and the mint copy of Video!

I buy ELO 12/7"s from ebay. There have been a few bummers, but "what you see, is what you get" is the norm. I'm pleased over all.
Will check out discogs.

Yeah I've recently order quite a few records ranging from Billy Joel to Tom Petty to ELO (no order is complete without some). Some of my favorite purchases are Jeff Lynne's 7 inch Lift Me Up from Belgium, I got a 12 inch Doin The Crazy Thing, ELO II, Band on the Run, and a beautiful copy of Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's Long After Dark.
