This thread is for one person a week to present just one CD for everyone to check out for the week and discuss it, and only it, through the week.
Ideally, we should aim for a nice relaxing CD that we think could appeal to everyone's tastes, based on our ELO bond.
Who wants to volunteer to post one for review on Sunday August 10, for the week of August 10 -16?
(But obviously, don't let us know what it will be, until then.)
Then each week, I will ask someone to volunteer for the following week.
Rules: nobody should divert the discussion away from the album/artist for that week, that album should have the floor.
I go first, since I thought of it (so there, nee-ner-na-ner-nee-noo), for Sunday August 3 through Saturday, August 9.
My pick is Steve Winwood "Chronicles".
I grabbed it from under my bed the other week to put on something in my van's CD player while I cleaned it out.
I found it very relaxing, uplifting, soothing, and musically interesting, so I've been playing it quite a bit lately.
From my experience, it might sound kind of boring at first since his singing is somewhat non-affectionate, great as it is; but the more I just let it ride, the more relaxing, soothing, and interesting I find songs like "Spanish Dancer", etc.
Would be interested to hear anyone's feedback on it, and we'll all give each other the same courtesy when others post their CD of the Week.

Here's the youtube album of it, but for some reason two of the songs are missing, so I am including those as well, maybe play those two first, then the whole album.
