If previous hot tickets like this are anything to go by they'll be dead strict on who gets in on what tickets. Photo ID on the door of the person whose name is on the tickets etc, I think it's to try and stop people who aren't fans making a massive profit on Ebay and suchlike. So I'm now in two minds about registering, it's pretty unlikely I'll make it to London and I'd not want to deprive someone else. Plus it's going to be on the red button so I can watch from the comfort of me armchair. I'll wait and see if they specify the security measures, if they're relaxed I'll go for it and pass them on in the unlikely event I'm succcessful. I'm too good to you, really I am have a go,.....if you are succesful and know you cant go there will be plenty of people on here needing a ticket....me me me me me me....!....Doh!!!

It says to register for tickets and this closes on Thursday, I wonder if they take all the names and then pick them out of a hat, or is it first come, first served?

I'd take the LA Times comment with a pinch of salt. When it says a "handful of dates" it's more likely that it's not going to be an extensive world tour with 200 plus dates. There will undoubtedly be gigs in the UK and Jeff is already on record as saying he'll be doing some arena sized gigs in the UK and start with some theatre sized gigs in the US and then - in his words "we'll see how it goes". I can't blame him for being cautious after what happened with the Zoom Tour. He also confirms in the Mojo interview that "It's time to do live stuff again". And the fact that he's doing loads of interviews and publicity sessions and whetting appetites with gigs like this suggests more are on the way. And there is still the confirmation of Glastonbury (if true) and also I've heard they are trying to get Jeff on the V-Festival line-up. So he's far from being at his "don't wanna come out of the studio" best. So get ready for lift-off folks.

Either way we'll be lucky to get tickets - they'll be like rocking-horse shit. So good luck everyone!. The BBC Theatre is in the BBC's Broadcasting House and only holds about 200. As for security - you'll probably need your passport!!

I'm pretty sure they do pick ticket winners out of a hat, plus there'll be people in the know at the BBC who want to go for free so the number of actual places for us plebs will be even more limited We should harvest all the questions from the Ask Jeff thread and send them in I reckon, job done.

Would be fantastic if he does "V" (although he doesn't really fit the normal sort of artist that plays there). I only live about 20 minutes from Chelmsford and I can get Essex resident discount and early bird tickets.

Don't they issue the early bird tickets before the line-up is announced? You never know, he might turn up at Glastonbury.

Will do, I'm thinking it might be a typo and should read 8.30pm this evening, this would be after the official Radio Two announcement.
