Until a tour is confirmed I'm not going to worry about the above. and to be honest If I didn't get tickets I wouldn't be that upset .I'm lucky enough to have seen ELO live 4 times. Who am I kidding I'd be furious!!

Can't wait to hear the new tune, tomorrow. I'm guessing they'll probably be announcing the album release date, as well.

Chicago, Cleveland, or Detroit. McCartney was in Detroit, I think Monday, and that city pulls in major acts. So it seems a good chance for Detroit. Cleveland would be my next hoped for city. Maybe even Columbus? If he turns up in Toledo, I can't be held responsible for my actions.

If he turns up in Toledo, then we will know that the Ninja Groupie Chronicles contained a certain amount of truth which we would never had suspected about.
Good news about the new Jeff song, I hope I can find a way of listen to it when I wake up here.

I just hope the new song isn't another rockabilly. Yes, I'm sure there will be at least one on the new album - this is Jeff Lynne, after all. But seriously, after all this time, I want to hear something lush and/or exciting! Not a three/four-chord 50s rocker.

Apart from Hold on Tight, Rattled or Rock n Roll Is King I'm struggling to recall his last 3/4 chord 50's rocker.

If it's another faux Wilbury track, I will be severely depressed. I want something BIG, with STRINGS and a MELODY you can goddamn sing!

Apart from Hold on Tight, Rattled or Rock n Roll Is King I'm struggling to recall his last 3/4 chord 50's rocker. Let It Run, I'm Gone, Out of Luck and, even though it's not originally a Jeff Lynne song, Don't Let Go. That being said, I really like I'm Gone. I wish he had remastered that one for the reissue of Armchair Theatre.

It's weird to see people saying "I want! I want! I want!!". Damn, just be happy that we're getting new music from the genius!

...and speaking of the VIP package, he might try what I've seen a certain band promoting, at three times the price of an already pricey ticket. Sorry to be bitter, but wasn't that a band which's fans swallowed the anti-capitalist bullshit during decades? I appreciate the fact that Jeff never tried to sell us that shit and preach us about the bads of earning money while sitting in his private jet. Exactly, the sort of fans who remain devoted to that sort of dreadful band despite being fully aware of their wicked naughtiness deserve a jolly good spanking. Me! Me first! I can't help it!
I think there can be a danger though, when any artist gets big enough to be able to concentrate on their music and leave the organisation to management and record label, that atrocities like this can happen without them even being aware of it. As we've said here, Jeff seems happy to shut himself away making music that pleases him and the whole outside world of fans and touring arrangements is a bit of a mystery to him. Tours used to produce a financial loss for most artists but now it's the main thing which makes money - the record companies etc are in it for profit and given half a chance they'll squeeze every drop of it out of fans prepared to cough up the dosh.
