I guess there were some changes in editing. Back in March, TWLMTB was listed - not anymore. I love Livin' Thing, but "life" would have been a fresher choice as a lot of younger people have never heard it.

Do the commercial radio stations have to pay loyalties to the artists they play? if that's the case, Jeff must be rolling in it with the amount of times MBS is played...

Almost 20 years ago I was taken with a trailer for Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Now, THAT'S a film I MUST see. A certain 'atmospheric' ELO song was used in the trailer. The film? No sign of said song. I almost walked out halfway through. I didn't. I gradually bought into its quirky humour. I forgave it for being ELO-less. Does this mean that I'm attracted to ANYTHING with even a tenuous connection to our Brummie band?

On Radio 2 this afternoon, Pick Of The Pops is revisiting 1979.
Noel Gallagher, acting DJ this afternoon, is playing Shine A Little Love even as I type.
Earlier, the show featured 1967. It kicked off with I Can Hear The Grass Grow by The Move - Noel mentioned that Roy Wood went on to found ELO and Wizzard.
He's just added that "some predicted that ELO would fall apart when Roy Wood left, but with Jeff Lynne, this was their tenth hit."

Yesterday's all-day Pop Master on R2 was won by Jenny Ryan of The Chase. Her final three-in-ten was name any three top forty singles by...ELO. She managed MBS (natch) and that was it. Sara Cox followed it up with Rock and Roll is King.

Wore an old ELO T-shirt for a trip up the road to the barbers, an old guy stopped me outside to say ELO are the best live band he has ever seen, Elvis Presley and ELO are his favourite music acts.

"Cruella" the movie debuts today with "The Way Life's Meant to Be" in the soundtrack. the movie is getting ripped in the reviews that I've seen with critics even asking if it should have been made at all I don't think it will be in the running for worst movie ever like Xanadu. But it may be one of those films where the sound track is superior to the movie itself. Yesterday, in a work Zoom meeting, my boss mentioned to everyone that he'd taken his kids to see Cruella the day before. Turning to me, he added: "And it has an ELO song on the soundtrack!" Nice when your colleagues know you well!
