Ah, thank you Helmut83, and BSJ. Did you ever name your cactus, BSJ? Has he/she taken up residence in Command Central?

No, not yet named me cactus. Command Central doesn't have enough sun, hangs out in the back sun room. I keep thinking of taking a photo and showing he/she off.

Introducing a new addition to the forum cactus clan: I met him yesterday on my way home from work, and was struck by his star quality. So, just like in the song, he came home with me. I very much wanted to name him after a popular ELO and Violinski man who hasn't yet been honoured with a cactus namesake. But I remembered that Timeblue had bagged the name "Spike De Albuquerque" for future use. Then again, there's no rule saying one ELO man can't have two spiny namesakes... So it's hello and nice to meet you from Michael De AlpineCacti.

I am officially relinquishing my rights to the name Vlog,it's all yours... (as long as 'Prick Price' isn't taken then I'm happy!)

Thanks, Timeblue, but Mr De AlpineCacti seems quite happy with the name he's got, and I think it suits him. Besides, we've already got Spike Commander the cushion in residence, and you don't want too many Spikes in one household. 🌵 At the moment Michael is sitting on the window sill with Richard, Mik, and Bloom Violin while No Cause For A Llama chats to them. Probably telling them all about his lovely Nieve....again...♥

Very handsome! How large will Michael De AlpineCacti grow? I read Nieve your last paragraph. She sighed and walked away with her tail upright, gently flicking back and forth. Seemed in a dream.

Michael de AlpineCacti is gorgeous. It's very robust, those guys can grow quite large as far as I know. Welcome him to the forum cactii family.
You've got to make sure you leave him in a place where you can never fall over or the pain could be quite big.

A thousand apologies for missing the forum debut of Michael de AlpineCacti, not sure how it escaped me but I'm most pleased to welcome him into the spiny brotherhood. What a lovely cushiony shape he is, plainly this is a trick to lure unsuspecting fleshy parts near his prickly bits, classic cactus tactic there
