Nothing but ELO is on the main stereo, and there is no question listening to them while on the forum. And, slowly, very slowly, Command Central, and my half of the room, is filling up with ELO stuff*. Oh! Eldorado has been in my car's cd for over three years. Yes, once in a while I think enough, put something else on. That lasts for maybe a week. *Uno is partly to blame.

I love this thread! I've done nearly all of these, everyone with any sense will have. Apart from maybe the cactus thing smiley-music025 Whenever you hear Beethoven's 5th start up you're always disappointed when Jeff's guitar doesn't kick in, even when it's on Radio Three or some other highbrow outlet.

Best you tell tk6 right away that you'll be needing the other half pretty pronto, not to mention the whole of the rest of the house apart from the cupboard under the stairs where he can keep his stuff. Fair do's.

You're watching Only Connect and you recognise 'Tha Arrival Of Queen Of Sheba' in the music round purely because you've listened to Daytripper from The Night The Light Went On In Long Beach god knows how many times.

When a comedy policeman says "'Elo, 'elo, 'elo!" your mind has him say "Electric Light Orchestra, Electric Light Orchestra, Electric Light Orchestra!"

...you start feeling quite intellectual because your favourite band does covers of classical music and features them in their songs.

When a busking violinist asks you for a tip, you advise him: "Paint it blue".

..you ask the DJ at your local disco if he will play an ELO track much to the embarrassment of your friends when the dance floor clears and you are left by yourself playing air violin to Sweet Talkin' Woman
