Anyone know if Jeff and Bev were at the funeral last week? Was there any acknowledgement 🤞🤞

I find that quite sad,Graeme was the only star name that I recognised. I've been trying to find more pics but the DM pics seem to be the only ones so far.

Thanks for posting that Horacewimp. It did look low key, but I'd have at least expected Bev and/or Jasper Carrott to have tried to be there. I've not seen any written tributes from them or Jeff either.

Bev’s tribute to Trevor, copied from Facebook:-
I first met Trevor Francis soon after he arrived at St Andrews - the 17 year old “Super kid”. I was introduced to him by my then Move bandmate Jeff Lynne - a big Birmingham City fan, (my team being Wolves). Trevor’s real passion was, of course, football and as we all know, he went on to become one of the best players of all time. But he also had a real passion for music and that’s what I’d like to write about today. I saw Trevor play many, many times - but he came to see me play many times too (drums that is !). He came to every ELO concert when we played in the Midlands and he came down to see us at Wembley Arena too when ELO played seven nights there in 1978 as part of the Out Of The Blue “Spaceship” tour. He was a great fan of ELO’s music and I’d say his other favourite band of that time would have been 10cc. Trevor also came to see ELO perform at the Pontiac Stadium In Detroit on that same world tour and the following night Jeff Lynne and I went to see Trevor play for the Detroit Express soccer team. Trevor also came to see me and our mutual friend Tony Iommi, when I was with Black Sabbath in 1983 when we topped the bill at Reading Festival. Trevor also came to several Jasper Carrott / Bev Bevan Band “Stand Up And Rock” concerts at various Midland venues over the past few years. He was also a big fan and good friend of Paul Carrack and Trevor and I went to see him and his band whenever they performed in the Midlands. Trevor’s all time favourite singer/songwriter/performer has to be Bruce Springsteen and he was so thrilled when our friend, show jumper Nick Skelton (who trained Bruce’s daughter for the USA equestrian team), got Trevor backstage to meet up with his hero. I would like to finish this tribute to my old friend Trevor on a musical theme too. The last time I saw him was at a Bonnie Raitt concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall, just last month. Me and my wife Joy and Trevor and his partner Jeannie had drinks together and a good old chat before sitting together for what turned out to be a fabulous concert. Afterwards we said our goodbyes with promises to meet up again soon. Very sadly that will now never happen. R.I.P Trevor x
