tuskar, that last song sounds like something from Zoom! Awesome. This Craig David song always reminded me of Jeff and ELO.

I agree with the aforesaid
In a topic already spoke about Fools Garden, this band mixed the vocal close to Bono, style of Beatles/ELO/Pink Floyd.
In my opinion, most brightly it is shown in an album of 2000 of "For Sale"
Fools Garden - Pure
Camel - representatives of "soft" prog rock, an album of 1979
Camel - "Who We Are"
Wilco - Hummingbird
The Divine Comedy - The Lost Art Of Conversation

This thread is quite long now so forgive me if this has already been mentioned. I bought a CD back in the 90s called Moon Safari by Air (French band). Ft music.com at that point wasn't online but issuing news letter's by post through subscription. They mentioned the album and one of the singles ' Kelly watch the stars' It is more of a tribute to ELO aswell as other tracks including 'Remember'.ELO were big influences on their music. The album version of KWTS blends many ELO sounds where as the single version is a different mix. It's on the single version you get the extra track 'Remember'in a 'Louis Clark' mix. A very good album from a great group.

Air were almost definitely influenced by Time and Secret Messages. Great stuff.

I've been listening to Air lately. Remember reminds me so much of ELO. At around 35 seconds in it gives me "the feels" in the same way ELO does. How Does it Make You Feel reminds me thematically of Yours Truly 2095.

All this talk about "Moon Safari" just makes me think about a modern prog rock band that I like of the same name. Every time I type in "Moon Safari" on Spotify, that album is always the first thing that shows up and it annoys me But now that I hear it's a good, ELO-like album, I might have to give it a listen! As for Moon Safari the band, I'd recommend them. ELO isn't their #1 influence, but I think many fans of ELO would also like them.

"Moon safari" very good group representing melodious progressive rock with a great value of a vocal. I to agree that this group can be pleasant to admirers of ELO, but on a sound they haven't enough from ELO, "Moon safari" is rather closer to "Beach boys".

Another modern prog group that I like is Dynamo Bliss. They recently made a solid cover of "Take Me On and On" from Secret Messages!
A lot of their original material also has an ELO feel to it! "Bird of Passage" sounds like it could have been on On the Third Day, and "And Forever" sounds like a Time song.

UK TV channel BBC1 has a singing competition called the voice. This week's show had a lady singing a very rockey ELO sounding version of Roll over Beethoven playing violin at the same time. Guess what colour her violin was?

Check out "Jupiter" from "Blackfield". Steve Wilson and Aviv Geffen, the two main members of this project, are both openly fans of Jeff Lynne. Steve Wilson once named OOTB as one of his all time fav albums and Aviv Geffen chose "One Summer Dream" as one of the songs that inspired him for the first Blackfield album (2004). "Jupiter" is from "Blackfield IV" (2013), the band are finishing recording their fifth album together with Alan Parsons as producer during the next months. The E.L.O. effect becomes bigger as the song progresses, especially in the second and third chorus, when (real!) strings and harmony vocals are added more and more:
