Has anything given you goosebumps today? Or brought tears to your eyes? Listen to this. It's the Concerto for a Rainy Day. So beautiful.

Wow! That was amazing and really showed the complicated instrumentation that the much missed Louis Clark had arranged behind all the vocals. Perfect opportunity to test my karaoke skills, but according to my son, there is no need to give up my day job 😎

There’s a musical series that I watch on Apple TV+ called Central Park, and the most recent episode had an excellent ballad with a VERY ELO-like chorus!

Here's that new song from Cliff Hillis. Playing with The Orchestra is definitely rubbing some ELO vibes onto Cliff's sound. Literally in the sense that Lou Jr. plays cello on this track.
if you haven't listened to Cliff before, try out "Dashboard" and "Love Not War" in addition to this tune. Or "Strange Constellations" which is a Cliff tune with another one of his bands called Starbelly.

I would like to introduce you to a comparatively unusual song: Louis Rugg - Coquelicot PlateauUnusual because it is a small piece of music that is meant to bring a (free) virtual instrument to your ears - the realisation of an ondioline, an "antique" synthesizer. Musically, it fascinated me right from the start, because it contains the typical JL harmonies and is also not very far away from Richard's sounds. For its own sake, it is not fully orchestrated. If you compare it with a home demo by Jeff or a track on Earthrise, it would easily stand up to it.

fan made version of Now and Then, the unfinished/unreleased track on the anthology series... would have stood next to the others in my opinion.

any Camper van Beethoven fans? listening to this the other day, I was reminded of early ELO instead of Roy sawing away on his Chinese cello, this lady sawing away on her violin of course it's a Status Quo cover, but this version seems more ELOish than the original

Love this! And I bet Francis Rossi would too, as he is such a big fan of ELO

Imagine Time/Secret Messages era ELO with a country twang.
