Christine McVieWhat another very sad passing of a very talented musician. I was fortunate enough to have seen the classic line up of Fleetwood Mac live a couple of times and I was often struck by her understated power and energy on stage. Not for the first time, it feels like the end of an era. RIP Christine, the original Songbird.

Just heard this, another sad loss to rock and roll. Christine seemed to have been around forever and it serves to remind us that our musical heroes are growing old.....
RIP Christine.

Very sad news - I can hardly believe she was nearly 80, she looked much younger so it was a big shock to hear we'd lost her. She was easily up there with the very best songwriters of her generation, with a knack for creating tunes you can't help but sing along to. Despite sitting to the side of the stage at her keyboard with Fleetwood Mac, she was never eclipsed by all that Stevie Nicks was up to out front.
RIP Christine

didn't see this one coming I'm not emotionally prepared for rock icons from the '70s to exit the stage in this way. But the trend is going to keep accelerating.
one more time, Jeff, while there's still time

Christine McVie makes three, may she rest in peace. My all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac & solo songs by her... Don't Stop Hold Me Over My Head Little Lies You Make Loving Fun Say You Love Me Everywhere As Long as You Follow Save Me The Chain Songbird Got a Hold on Me (solo)

I totally agree with you, I was not prepared for something like this... Just a few time ago, she was still there, singing and travelling, that put me so so sad!! As a Fleetwood Mac fan, I received lot of bad news, the deaths of Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, Bob Weston...John McVie's fight against cancer or Lindsey Buckingham's heart issue, but nothing compared with this! Personally I really liked what Christine did for this iconic band, as a singer and songriter. RIP Christine!
