Some of this speculation is crazy. It's pretty obvious to me Jeff has decided on a song-by-song rendition of Iron Maiden's Powerslave

The more I think about it, the more that theory about Jeff's Glastonbury set finally getting an official release seems plausible. For one, it would be relatively easy to license the footage from the BBC. Also, a multichannel source has been trading hands for quite a while, and I'm sure this audio would be good enough for Jeff's team to make any necessary adjustments (such as flying in a patch for when he infamously sang "when I was a dream" leading into the guitar solo of When I Was A Boy). Apart from being almost exclusively a greatest hits presentation, this would mean he doesn't have to deal with acknowledging certain former ELO members, and whether we like it or not, that does seem to be Jeff's MO these days. If this means plugging a large gap in the current bootlegging market, then yes, I think it might just end up happening.

I watched JLELO's set at Glastonbury as it was happening, and I didn't think it was a strong show. He, and the band, sounded sluggish. I thought we had a discussion about this after the show and for some weeks later, and others seemed to think the same thing. It may be easy to release, but I don't think it was the strongest of his shows.

It may be easy to release, but I don't think it was the strongest of his shows. I thought it was a good show considering the time slot and the crowd in the rain. IIRC the BBC had a record audience for it and they played it many times. It was an abbreviated set even for Jeff and they weren't able to utilize their great light show. I still think they should have headlined.

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
