My Love is my favorite Paul song from his solo career. Look at that sexy mullet!

That's a great read, I agree he is probably taken for granted. John Lennon seems to have taken a lot of the spotlight without necessarily having any more talent. Paul seems to have been less self-obsessed generally and more down to earth. We should treasure him while we can (but he could help this by not doing that endless Hey Jude whenever he hits the stage....)

I caught Paul and his great band live a few years ago, and while it's obvious that his voice has left him, he still had the ability to conjure that old Macca magic.

We should treasure him while we can (but he could help this by not doing that endless Hey Jude whenever he hits the stage....) That's what death makes at times, it mystifies and gigantifies the dead person a lot, and if he had a partner or someone whom he could be paired with that remains alive, people will tend to idealize the dead person and, by opposition, downgrade the one who remains alive. Don't get me wrong, John Lennon was a mega genius of music in my opinion. But, as I see it, Paul was even more. If you want a less biased opinion, there's the fact that McCartney is the artist who wrote the most #1s in history.

A bit off topic, but have you seen the Sparks Brothers film? Saw it recently and was totally amazed to see Ron sporting a great big Afro in his youth. What a man.
