Discovered this today, probably only Buttler will spot the really clever Musey references from loads of their songs, but it's still a darned good version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Well, that was quite magnificent and does exactly what is says on the tin. I caught Resistance, Stockholm Syndrome & Knights Of Cydonia on there but then visited the video on youtube and saw there was over 20 references! Muse live with Matt Bellamy is always a thrilling experience. That said, sitting at home, all chilled with a Merlot, I wish there was a Beatles do Muse version of songs that deconstruct them slightly and bring the melody out to the fore. A really good song will sound good whatever the tempo or arrangement. Loved it tho...thanx

Isn't it great? It's not just the song references though, it's the little mannerisms of the Muse lads he slips in too I think he might have done other songs in other styles too - I'm too lazy to go and look but can vaguely recall seeing them a few years ago. He's very talented anyway, makes you wonder how many other unknown maestros are out there that we'll never find out about. Glad you liked it Lucyblue and it's good to find another Muse fan too

Heee! Well, the old man can't have all the adulation can he? I don't think he minds sharing the love, as long as he get enough from his devoted ninja groupie twins Now, you must excuse me whilst I carefully study that rather fine pic of Chris...for scientific purposes...

Ha! That's right, off you go with Chris and leave me to tuck the old man up with his cocoa and read him his favourite story (the one where the Custard King meets a sticky end at the hands of the beardy superhero). Being a groupie ain't all it used to be, that's for sure *grumbles*

Well, it was YOUR night to do the tucking! I don't want to hear it! Any time I get Damey after you, it's a frickin nightmare getting him to sleep! Seems your rendering of our Hero's epic adventures lean into Broadway proportions! With him whining for stage calls at the end of the Showdown between him and the Custard King. Chris just bitch's about the lack of power for his bass.

Well excuse me for making the best of the same old job - me kitchen has a permanent vanilla atmosphere after all the custard I've boiled up. You KNOW authenticity is my middle name. And it takes a pantomime of that scale to stop him asking when "the naughty nurse" is coming along, like she did last night. Ring any bells? I think Chris should be warned, the poor lamb has no idea what he's in for...or maybe he does...

RING any bells!? Who put the bell in the ring? Who put the chop in the pork chop? Mmmmm...? Who put hen in authenticity!? Wait? What? Never mind. Anywho. When next Damey goes on tour, I say we lend him Chris. Energize things up a bit.

I'd like to hear Muse in the style of The Beatles.... The closest you'd get to that would probably be the Jaded Hearts Club, think I started a thread about them somewhere else..... well worth a listen. Paul McCartney even joined them on stage once at a fashion launch for his daughter
also
Mr Bellamy doing the frying pan bass justice there (and looking totally cool) plus on that occasion Dom Howard took care of drumming. Lovely.
