Which ELO song would sound even better with an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo on it?
For me, I'd say "Melting in the Sun"; but that already has a cool guitar solo.
Definitely something on "Zoom", probably "State of Mind" would be a cool one to hear EVH cut loose on.

Mmmm… Eddie Van Halen would give Zoom some fun snap. Both of your choices I agree with. “It Really Doesn’t Matter” is a contender.
When first hearing Melting, I thought it was George singing. Just Jeff monkeying around.

... none. Van Halen's style wouldn't fit on an ELO record, IMO. It would be similar to asking what Van Halen song would benefit from a Richard Tandy keyboard phrase.
