I was wondering if any of you had much experience of any bootleg ELO records? Back in the early 90’s I was a keen record collector and would spend most of my time trawling the record shops and boot fairs spending all my pocket money and odd job earnings looking for those elusive records to try and complete my collection. I had never really had any experience of bootleg recordings until I happened to come across this in a local record shop: It’s quite a good quality recording and has some decent between tracks chatter from Jeff but has always struck me as a curious concert to be bootlegged as I’d imagine it’s only of limited interest but I’m happy to have it in my collection as a curiosity. But it has made me wonder if anybody else has any bootleg records in their collections and whether there were any concerts or studio recordings which have never seen the light of day that you would like to see a bootleg of (until the official release obviously)?

I have a few bootleg items, both on vinyl and CD. There was also a series of records that came out in 2015 on, the way of the wizard label, it was the Hyde Park concert, released on green, blue and red vinyl. It came complete with a dvd of the concert, some bootlegs can be a bit bland but this was a very impressive gate fold. Don’t see them for sale very often. If you would like any pics i can post them.

Yes please, I’d be very interested to see a picture. It sounds like your 2015 one is in a different league to the DIY effort I picked up. I’m interested to get an idea of what sort of things are out there and the quality of them as, like I said, I never really came across anything when I was collecting.

I have a few bootlegs but not many really. I bought a few cassette tapes of concerts back in the 80s that were of poor quality and it kind of put me off getting more.

Thanks for sharing those lasttrain929. Loving the effort that went into those Hyde Park records, Sterling work They are very well made, but I’m going to be hones, I’ve never listened to them, I have no idea what the sound is like, but I will try one out... I’m lazy it’s much handier listening to the CD.

One of the concerts from the Time tour perhaps or from an early concert when Woody was still in the lineup! Id pay good money to hear that
