Seeing William Shatner get a free ride on the rocket today had me thinking, they could offer Jeff a trip it would get some publicity and they could put a massive ELO spaceship logo on the rocket, maybe coordinate it with a release of the 2LP of Time.

I wondered if Shatner would be up to it. You have to climb 7 flights of stairs to get into the rocket. And somehow they test you to see if you can handle 5g acceleration. Other than that there are some pretty easy height and weight requirements and your prostrate has to be in good enough shape to go 90 minutes without a trip to the loo. (maybe they wear Depends just in case) Jeff can handle it but is he too risk averse to ride a Ticket to Space? too cheap to buy a ticket? Bezos would have to be a pretty big fan to offer a free ride or to wrap the capsule in Wurlitzer colors. www.blueorigin.com/new-shepard/become-an-astronaut

I can't believe Shatner is 90! Seems he came through it OK.

Now's the "TIME" Jeff! It could be a heck of a promotion by his record company. He has admittedly always had a fascination with space.

"You look down, there's the blue down there and the black up there ... there is Mother Earth and comfort, and there is, is there death? I don't know, but is that death? Is that the way death is? ... It was so moving; this experience, it was something unbelievable," he said while the crew celebrated behind him. “The only thing I don’t want to see is a little gremlin looking back at me” he joked, referring to the plot of his 1963 Twilight Zone episode titled, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. After Shatner's spaceflight, CNN had "Out of the Blue, into the black" at the bottom of their screen when Bill shared his profound thoughts with Jeff Bezos afterwards got me thinking about these songs... Signed, Star Trek (1966-1991) Original Series fan since 1982!

We're living through an interesting time right now. Experiencing the first baby steps toward an achievable future that we'll never experience.

CNN also had this William Shatner clip as host performing a spoken word rendition of Rocket Man by Elton John and Bernie Taupin from the 5th Saturn Awards in 1978 on Anderson Cooper 360 plus their other shows!
