That's right, I think Jet missed a trick with this album though. In November '79 when it came out, the last single from Discovery was out too so if they had waited a month or so longer then they could have had all the 70s singles (hits or not) on the album. I guess Janne is right though when he mentioned that Discovery was still 'fresh ' so asking the public to fork out money would have been a bit cheeky....
Yeah, imagine if they had waited a bit, and then released a triple-album greatest hits (or not) covering the 70s, using every released single? Damn!
Side A: 1. 10538 Overture. 2. Roll Over Beethoven. 3. Showdown. 4. Ma Ma Ma Belle.
Side B: 5. Daybreaker. 6. Can't Get It Out Of My Head. 7. Boy Blue. 8. Evil Woman.
Side C: 9. Nightrider. 10. Strange Magic. 11. Livin' Thing. 12. Rockaria.
Side D: 13. Do Ya. 14. Telephone Line. 15. Turn To Stone. 16. Mr Blue Sky.
Side E: 17. Wild West Hero. 18. Sweet Talkin' Woman. 19. It's Over. 20. Shine A Little Love.
Side F: 21. The Diary Of Horace Wimp. 22. Don't Bring Me Down. 23. Confusion. 24. Last Train To London.
Ok, I'm doing a Spotify playlist with all of those.

Always found it strange, eleven songs and no WWH, why not include it and make it up to twelve. Jeff on the back cover notes mentions all the other OOTB songs but nothing about WWH, so it had to be deliberately left off for some reason. The Greatest hits vol 2 has 16 songs and is a really under rated album. Don’t think it was ever released on vinyl, would jump at the chance to buy it. WWH was not a hit here in the US. The album may have been planned primarily with the US market in mind.

I've seen it on vinyl many years ago when it came out , but I brought it on CD & Mini disc👍. Wish I owned it on vinyl now though. There was a copy on eBay a while back , think they wanted a lot for it , understandable it is very rare.

I never owned a mini disc player, but they seem to be very collectable these days, fetch a lot of money too. Keep it safe.

I can remember being so upset about the Discovery songs not being on the greatest hits lp. My understanding was that Discovery was still selling and they didn't want to compete with it.
