Looks like the Shard End Crescent house has been sold for 10,000 pounds under the original asking price. Yes it’s sold (subject to contract) in the U.K. you don’t get to know the actual sale price until the Land Registry gets updated, this will be on contract completion but can take another six to twelve months to get updated online. If you click on the down arrow on property sale history on the site you gave you see it last sold in 2011 for £120,000.

I wonder if the new owners are aware of the history involved in this house?

I wonder if the new owners are aware of the history involved in this house? I’m pretty sure the Estate Agent would have dropped that into the conversation, might have added a few extra £££s. A little bit of history for the new owners to boast about.

My uncle (an auto mechanic based in Staffordshire during the 70s and 80s) actually visited this place on-call from Lynne's parents circa the late '70s - he was allegedly bewildered by the gold and platinum records covering the walls before one of them casually commented "oh yes, our son's Jeff Lynne". One of our most peculiar (and memorable) family anecdotes for sure.

Great anecdote, disgruntledfilament.
