I played my vintage copy of Eldorado: A Symphony by the Electric Light Orchestra in Louis Clark's honor. What an album made so much better by his arrangements!

One the greatest tracks on Eldorado, and a tremendous way to close Side 1...

This is very sad news. ELO would not have been the ELO we love without him. Lou's sound was one of the most characteristic things about ELO.

I’ve not seen anything yet, I did message the contact I have in “Team Jeff” this morning suggesting some comment on their social media outlets would be appreciated by the fans....I’ve not as yet received a reply. I would have left it to their own initiative. I don't want to see Team Jeff making a comment because they received pressure by the fans, I would rather sit back and see if they spontaneously come up with something or if they (and he) care so little about it they don't feel it deserves a mention. That would tell us more about the way he feels about it than a statement made out of compromise because the fans asked them to. Still no comment yet? For all Jeff's faults, I thought that he would acknowledge Louis in some way.... Oh well.

From Bev, Here is just one of my fond memories that I have of the late, great Louis Clark. This photo was taken in 1990 in Moscow . Louis and I were there to meet with Konststantine Klemitz , conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra , who we would later tour with . Not only was Louis an incredibly talented orchestral arranger , he was also a brilliant conductor both in the studio and live on stage . He also just happened to be one of the nicest , gentle and laid back people that it’s ever been my privilege to have known and to have worked with . With deepest condolences to Gloria and the family . Rest in peace Louis . God Bless. Go conduct that Heavenly Choir !
