I'm not sure if this is possible, but lets have a go anyway.
I'll start off with a famous person connected with ELO/Jeff Lynne using the letter A, the next person uses B and so on through the alphabet.
The rules are the persons first or last name should start with the letter.

Has to be ELO related? In any case...

Any sort of connection is fine, I'm sure we will have to stretch our imaginations for some letters anyway

Never heard of him". Recently I came across an American who didn't know who Maradona was (first time ever it happens to me). I was telling him something about Maradona and he asked "Madonna?". Haha...

Fee Waybill... a bit tenuous, but he did appear in Xanadu.
If not, does Fred the Robot count??

If we have to justify our elections, I think it stands out clearly to everyone the relation Maradona has with ELO: Maradona scored that goal to the English national football team, and Jeff Lynne is English. Clear as water, but just in case anyone didn't see it. Hugh McDowell

What a witch she was! You made me remember that Beatles' anecdote with the Marcos... their lifes were in serious danger there.

Ooo, I'd not heard that, what happened? Did they make fun of her enormous shoe collection?

I don't remember exactly what happened, but there was a confuse situation which lead Imelda Marcos to believe that the Beatles had turned down an invitation from her and she got terribly offended (while the Beatles were still in the Philipines). They had to escape to the airport as fast as they could as if they were criminals:
