I haven't looked closely at it since the first day it was posted , but I'll buckle down and get to it soon. Maybe tomorrow? I'm pretty busy today. This morning I've been busy taking care of my mother (weekend home health aide is recovering from surgery), this afternoon we have a virtual music event for our son, and then we're putting up our Christmas decorations (about 2 weeks later than usual, but hey, it's 2020, and we are in a different rhythm). It will happen, hopefully with good results again. smileys-whistling-823718

Anyone take bribes? Remember, you can always ask Rudy to go around clamoring for a recount if it doesn't turn out to your liking! I think he'll be looking for work soon!

I haven't had a chance to look at it for a while either, but after my finals are over it'll have my undivided attention for the last 4 days, we'll see how far I get

I'm still avoiding it, going to settle down and tackle it soon. I've done the bits that hit me straight away but this means that what's left is all hard

If we had until midnight Dec 20th 2021, I wouldn't be anything near....

I find the best method is to stare at the questions and wait for the answer to reveal itself. This is why I need another day

I got about half of them fairly quickly. Then I struggled a bit and got through more of them. Now I'm down to the ones that seem beyond normal reasoning abilities (mine at least), and so, yes, I'm just staring at the remaining anagrams and mumbling random combinations of syllables, shuffling the letters around on the page until I accidentally stumble upon something that is like the key that opens the rest of it, if there's any progress at all to be had. Must be a winning approach, unomusette. We both usually do pretty well. After a certain point, it probably just comes down to sheer determination until the bitter end, and/or letting the subconscious do its thing working out details in the off hours!

Like I've said before, why can't we have questions like 'fill in the missing letters - *ev *evan'
so much easier on the brain....

I googled the first line on the last question, and was surprised to see the only result was "ELO Christmas Challenge 2020 - Horace Wimp's ELO fan forum". That's when I started wondering...

I think I'm down to pure guesswork now, most of the anagrams are beyond me, my brain doesn't work that way

I'm down to just two anagrams that I haven't solved, and I've had to just guess on a few of the other questions that were very opaque to me. We'll see how it all turns out. Definitely a good workout for my brain!

Yes I'm sure we've all sprouted some new brain cells due to all this
