(Because what else shall we do as we await The 50th Anniversary Celebrations?)
1. A New World Record.......when this new record came out, my world was changed. 2. Face The Music........you cannot deny it. 3. Eldorado (A Symphony By The Electric Light Orchestra)......sounds really important, and it was. 4. Discovery.......yes, indeed. 5. Balance Of Power.......or BOP!! 6. Zoom.....because we suddenly zoomed to 2001. 7. Alone In The Universe........are we sure? 8. Out Of The Blue......at least we know where it came from. 9. On The Third Day......god created the third album. 10. Secret Messages.......unfortunately, some of them are still a secret. 11. Time......this covers a lot of ground. Be more specific! 12. ELO II.......well, at least it was the second album. 13. From Out Of Nowhere.....at least Out Of The Blue came from somewhere. 14. No Answer.....yes, this was a misunderstanding, and a very unfortunate one. 15. Xanadu......because, that film.

1. Face the Music 2. A New World Record 3. On the Third Day 4. Balance of Power 5. No Answer (the misunderstanding makes it funny and that’s what makes it cool) 6. Time (vague title I know, but it’s very thought-provoking) 7. Out of the Blue 8. Discovery 9. Zoom 10. Eldorado: A Symphony by the Electric Light Orchestra Tied for 11th: Secret Messages, Alone in the Universe, & From out of Nowhere (I find it incredibly boring when the album is named after the title track. Couldn’t they have thought of anything else? No?? They had to double dip and reuse a title they already thought of? Okay then. The 2nd part of Eldorado’s title puts it a spot above these three.) Lastly: ELO II (How much more boring can you get...?) I’m not counting Xanadu because of the movie they were basically forced to call it that. I don’t know where to fit it in but I think Olé ELO deserves an honorable mention, I think it’s rather clever how it’s just the same letters forwards and backwards and someone picked up on that to make it the title.

Secret Messages.......unfortunately, some of them are still a secret.
Not any more. Also, December.

Tried to not overthink it too much... apparently I'm not much a fan of one-word titles.
1. Face the Music 2. A New World Record 3. On the Third Day 4. Secret Messages (relying on the fact that there actually are secret messages hidden in the album) 5. Time 6. No Answer ("The Electric Light Orchestra" would be a few places lower; not creative as an album title but creative as a band title, first album so I give them a break) 7. Out of the Blue 8. Balance of Power 9. From Out of Nowhere (I really love it as a title but take points off for being so similar to OOTB, might've fared better ranking-wise as "On the Horizon") 10. Alone In the Universe 11. Eldorado 12. Discovery 13. Zoom 14. ELO II ("The Lost Planet" would've been way more cool) 15. Xanadu

I'm sorry, but I misread the survey.

1. Face The Music - Nice and simple, a good length 2. Eldorado - Only one word but it's got a fair amount of syllables 3. A New World Record - Slightly annoying to me but it looks good on the LP and has the right amount of words 4. Out Of The Blue - The right length and enough words to be interesting but it's a bit bland 5. Secret Messages - Pretty good, I'd love it more if it weren't the title of a song on the album too. I like stand alone titles or when bands name their album after a song placed on an album three years previously. 6. From Out Of Nowhere - I like this even thought it's similar to below and OOTB 7. Alone In The Universe - Too many "In The" and "Out Of" titles, unless this is ELO's new trademark 8. Discovery - I like it but it's still a bit boring to me 9. Xanadu - Short and sweet and the X is interesting but it's still the movie's name so not entirely ELO's decision 10. Time - I like the snappy-ness of it but let's be honest it's dull 11. The Electric Light Orchestra - Classic album naming here 12. ELO II - Even more classic album naming 13. Zoom - I like it but can't see why it's called that. Should have been a song of that title, the latest album is begging for a classic ELO pop song called Zoom 14. On The Third Day - Why not just ELO3? Though I like the originality here and bands that name all their albums by number are very pretentious. If it wasn't their third album I would hate the title more 15. Balance Of Power - Never liked this, even before I had to think about it. I think it's why the album is disliked - the title and the cover are poor indicators of Jeff's genus but it's a product of it's age

Not going to do a full list but suffice to say, although I love Eldorado to bits, the cover is just terrible.BOP gets an honourable mention for being bloody rubbish too....

Never liked Eldorado cover either. Or the 'merican cover for ELO II.
