Do Ya and 10538 Overture are getting to the point of maybe being almost performable, so you might be in luck. It'll probably just be playing along to the album, though, because singing while playing seems to be a mystic art that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to master... Helmut83 , tedblight , eloandy , how do you do it??? As Helmut83 says, don't try playing a solo or picking and singing at the same time, it's quite tricky until you get a few miles under your belt. 'Do Ya' is a good choice as it keeps the same three chords going for most of the song. In my book, 10538 is a lot harder as it is quite a complicated song with not such a steady beat and stops and starts a bit. Having said that, I'd love to see you play it. (I learned by playing along to my LP's, you feel like you're in the band!!) Good Luck. That's a lovely guitar and I/we all look forward to seeing you play.

Yippee!!! My late Christmas present finally arrived!!! " style="max-width:100%;"] Okay, so technically it's not ELO-related... but there's only one man responsible for making me want a P90 Goldtop... Got it used with most of the components upgraded by the previous owner, and it looks like it might've been their "road warrior", there's a fair amount of dings and scratches--though personally I don't mind, I think that just adds character. Between that and the price, I'm super excited to now have a guitar that I'm not afraid to take places along with me or super paranoid about it getting a little (more) beat up. I'm still very much a beginner after a year of sporadic playing, but I had some fun noodling around this evening, and I thought I was getting some pretty sweet tones out of her! What an absolutely gorgeous guitar! It reminds me of when I was in Denmark Street a few years ago gazing through a shop window at the gold Gibsons like a Dickensian urchin staring into a resturant.

I received this off eBay a few days ago, it is all cover versions like the old “Top of the Pops” records you could get from Woolies. It plays well and the covers are done really well despite the lack of a decent vocoder, worth the £2.99 I paid. Note the incorrect spelling of Livin’ Thing and Rockaria the spine also seems to read Wilo instead of Wild.

I've got that on cassette! I remember buying it in Woolworths back in around 1979/80. I thought at the time it WAS ELO and remember being really disappointed when it wasn't..

I'm not too keen on Jeff's new look for the cover though.

Hi! This Christmas I received OOTB on cd!! So now I've got a collection with:
- Face The Music - A New World Record - Out Of The Blue - Discovery - Time - All Over The World (The very best) - Ticket To The Moon (The very best II) - Alone In The Universe
It's still pretty small, but I'm sure I'll complete the collection! As I can't buy ElDorado and Secret Messages (they're really expensive over here where I live), I'm asking about which could be the next one! Maybe one of the first three albums, or one of the latest...

I'm from Argentina, so the only album you can buy very cheaper is Discovery, just because the success it had over here... You can buy the rest of the discography on vinyl or used cds -like me on this one-, but ElDorado and Secret Messages are new, so they're more expensive. And trust me there's a huge difference between something new and something used...
