Had no idea there was a Volume 2, you learn something new every day! I didn't see it at the shop among the large collection that came in recently, but maybe I'll spring for the gold vinyl Ole ELO or the half-speed pressing of Time if they're still there the next time I visit... If they have Xanadu on 10” picture disc put it to one side for me, I’ll send you a £5 note to cover costs Now c'mon Horace be fair, you should offer at least £5.50.....

If he rounds it up another 50, then I'll call H W a humanitarian!

Well it's a moot point anyway, they didn't have it Ole ELO and Time were still there but I still balked at the prices, and I don't suppose Horace would fancy sending me nine £5 notes.....

I tried to spend my birthday money earlier this month on an original OOTB Tour t-shirt I saw on eBay, but I was outbid in the last 30 seconds of the auction. Christmas did bring some ELO-related goodies, though: ...and there’s still something special on the way....

Loving the 'Doin That Crazy Thing' album, don't think I've seen that cover before (note the missing 'g' again....)

And one of the coolest covers is "The Night the Lights...." But it also makes them seem another band.

Yippee!!! My late Christmas present finally arrived!!! Okay, so technically it's not ELO-related... but there's only one man responsible for making me want a P90 Goldtop... Got it used with most of the components upgraded by the previous owner, and it looks like it might've been their "road warrior", there's a fair amount of dings and scratches--though personally I don't mind, I think that just adds character. Between that and the price, I'm super excited to now have a guitar that I'm not afraid to take places along with me or super paranoid about it getting a little (more) beat up. I'm still very much a beginner after a year of sporadic playing, but I had some fun noodling around this evening, and I thought I was getting some pretty sweet tones out of her!

Do Ya and 10538 Overture are getting to the point of maybe being almost performable, so you might be in luck. It'll probably just be playing along to the album, though, because singing while playing seems to be a mystic art that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to master... Helmut83, tedblight, eloandy, how do you do it???

What a beaut, Grroosss! I saw your post on Instagram and I admired it (and felt a bit jealous I must confess ). Now you have to give it use! As for singing while playing, one key is to start by strumming chords (and a simple strum), not trying to pick or solo while singing because this is way more difficult. Another key is to stop reproducing the strumming in your head and make your brain "detach" from the strumming; this allows you to leave your right hand on automatic mode while your brain (and ultimately your voice) focuses on the melody. Once you are able to do this with a certain strumming pattern, incorporating others will be much easier. Of course it takes practice, unfortunately there are no shortcuts for this, but nothing insane either. I'm sure you'll be able to do it, and you can use that beautiful guitar as a new motivating factor to achieve it.
