Incidentally, the OTTD one (from The Melody Maker) is just a little larger than A3 for some reason? all the other large posters are A3. I had to trim it to make it fit in my A3 folder.

I was looking through my vinyl collection a couple of months ago and I realized that I don't see enough of my music collection! They're all stacked neatly in containers and all readily accessible but there's too much artwork in and amongst them that is so rarely seen. So - I was in a picture framing shop and I noticed that they specialized in album and vinyl artwork frames. I therefore set them a challenge and presented them with the 40th anniversary picture disc edition of Out Of The Blue. At first I thought about buying the album again so I could feature sides one and two. I even toyed with the idea of one picture disc and either one blue vinyl or one clear vinyl disc. In the end I opted for sides one and four and I'm delighted by the result....

Brilliant, they look great in the frame! I've always thought the the 12" picture disc of TTTM/HITN would look fantastic framed too. One thing that bothers me though, is the frame in direct sunlight or in a warm room? Just thinking that these factors could affect the discs?

Good points both - the TTTM disc would look great. I had the garage converted into another room last year, with the housing of all of my CDs, vinyls, books etc, very much in mind. I've used shutters to block natural daylight and the insulation used on all walls, the floor and ceiling keeps the temperature as it should be. I spend a lot of my time in there just to be sure - my wife and daughter are understandably thrilled by it all!

Beautiful job, soonerorlater! I love it! So I don't have to worry where I hang my adverts and posters, I have everything framed behind Museum Glass. It's anti-reflective and blocks 99% of the ultraviolet rays.

Since Timeblue apparently has a monopoly on the old adverts, I've decided to focus my efforts elsewhere...
Still trying to decide what color T-shirt to put it on...
I've most commonly seen it in red, notably worn by Jeff during a Midnight Special performance. But Jeff also had one that looks black, and he and Mik also had it in a very light color, maybe light blue or grey? (B&W photography makes it difficult to tell) Bev had a lovely jade green one, probably my first choice but unfortunately I've yet to find a shirt of a similar hue. And Mel had it in what appears to be yet another different color!
So while I'd assumed that this one was deadstock that had never made it onto a T-shirt to be sold, maybe these were just sold as transfers? Then I could put it on whatever color shirt I darn well please...

Where did you get the transfer? I once did a homemade one many years ago and it turned out well. Is the image that you show here shown from the back? I assume it is as it needs to be inverted obviously...

Got it from eBay, there are sellers who have hordes of 'em in just about every quintessentially '70s design you could want, though ELO ones are a bit harder to come by. Plenty of blank deadstock T-shirts to be had there as well, pair with one of those and you've got yourself an authentic vintage tee!
Yeah, the photo was taken from the back, through the paper--not much to see from the other side, just the white blob of plastisol that will ultimately be the back once it's applied--so the final product will be a lot more vibrant.
