It’s sold now....who bought it?
They look authentic the only thing that stands out is every autograph has used a different pen, so did they meet each person at a different time and happen to have the cover with them, that seems suspect to me.

I have no better qualifications than anyone else here (except maybe that I have 4 authentic signatures and a very keen eye), but even though this one is a valiant effort, it still gets a no from me. Might as well provide this as a resource for anyone trying to determine the validity of ELO members' signatures if they own or are considering buying a signed item... these are some of the references I use for comparison. ************************************************************ TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THESE ARE DEFINITELY NOT BOGUS SIGNATURES!!! ************************************************************ A "quick guide", if you will, for the Magnificent Seven... These all appear consistent with other images that I have reason to believe are legit. From the extensive collection of a guy that attests he has obtained most of his signatures in person, has multiple dedicated to him, and has been in contact with both Mik and Mel personally. Dated, clearly all signed at once with the same pen... yeah, I'd say that probably indicates that they're real. The original ELO members' are consistent with their signatures during the original ELO era. From my personal collection (though clearly it belonged to someone before me! ) Until I find out that those who deal in forgeries have gotten wise to this, dedication = legit in my book. ALL OF THESE ARE FOR SURE, ABSOLUTELY, 100% AUTHENTIC! From the letter on the back of the ELO's Greatest Hits LP, from another letter written to someone (and it doesn't take an expert to be able to tell that the handwriting matches overall), the copy of FOON he gave to his bandmate Amy Langley and was posted on her Instagram, two of them obtained in person and witnessed by Yours Truly with my own two eyes (even if I could hardly believe them!), and from the guitar picks that Jeff has been using on stage these past several years. Note that the majority of these are quite recent, and it seems that his signature has only been getting more consistent with time; I'd find it unusual to see a recent one that looks sloppy and hastily signed--though I think the first two images above provide a pretty good sense of what that should look like. Hopefully this helps someone someday--or at least enhances our ability to debate the merits of the signatures in this thread. Well, that concludes my essay post for the day. Grroosss out.

Thanks grroosss, interesting post. I wonder why one of the names is scored over and Dave put in instead.

The different inks is a bit suspect I agree, but it still looks OK to me.

If only there was a band member who could verify them, maybe Joy, the partner of Bev could ask him to look at it?

Here's another from the same seller. He has another one? I can't believe that he is selling them so cheap. Still have my doubts. Thanks for the great post, Grroosss !

The same seller has sold signed copies of Discovery, OTTD, ANWR and FTM, seems to have none available now maybe his sharpie has run out.

Thanks grroosss, interesting post. I wonder why one of the names is scored over and Dave put in instead. I guess that is kind of odd. Maybe it was a situation like Horacewimp had, where a friend got the signatures for them and the band didn't realise at first?

If I'd had Jeff sign something less bulky than a guitar, I would probably bring it along if I went to see The Orchestra or Quill, or some event where I'd think I might have a chance at getting a signature.

Is this a current listing? It's just a different photo of the exact same album. I know that sometimes sellers will bid on their own items using a different account to stir up competition, and just relist if the other interested bidders don't win. The seller ratings seem reputable enough, though. Seems to deal exclusively in signed memorabilia... not sure whether that's a good sign or a bad sign. Even if the guy is trustworthy, it's possible that he himself got duped, and thinks he's selling a legit item. Anyway, if someone did actually buy it, I feel bad that they might've been ripped off for $100+ instead of the lower prices that you usually see the obvious fakes tried to pass off for. Jeff's and Bev's are good enough that I'm not super skeptical, but Hugh's and Richard's just don't cut the mustard if you ask me.

Oh, shoot I posted the wrong album! And it's buried in my trash and I can't find it on eBay. But looking through my trash I found the Discovery album that I put on page 7 here, sold by the same seller, if the door handle is a clue. Here's the Discovery again
