Great documentary on BBC 4 about the The Shadows. Way before my time but their influence on a generation of guitarists is huge (May, Gilmour, Knopfler, Townsend, Page etc etc). Bruce Welch lives quite close to me and see him around quite regularly, nice guy!
Well worth a look on Iplayer.

Great documentary!
Hank, Bruce and Brian are decent guys, and their music is as current today as it's always been. Their on-stage choreography made their instrumentals more entertaining.

One of the Shadows biggest hits was Apache. I like to think it influenced Jeff when he wrote "Big Chief Wooly Bosher" and later "Wild West Hero".
