This morning I was putting all my ELO 7" collection onto Discogs, and one thing I noticed about the UK Turn To Stone single is that on the cover & label there is no mention of OOTB! Usually there is a "from the album..." or "from the forthcoming album..." etc. But no, no mention of OOTB at all. And the rear of the UK pic sleeve is totally blank except for Jet logo & cat number. Usually on the Jet releases we are given full info, or at least "look at all the past JET ELO stuff, go buy it" And the front cover just looks like a left over from ANW. So was the album title/artwork decided very late in the day? Cheers, folks Oooh also I never realised most US 7" releases are deep red when you hold them up to the daylight! And my UK Don't Bring Me Down 7" looks pretty in the sunlight too

Just had a quick look through my collection and your right not a mention of OOTB or even the B side Mister Kingdom on the Uk version!!! Although on the covers from other countries it does. As it was the lead single from a brand you album you would have imagined they would have been promoting it, very strange. Perhaps ShardEnder might have some thoughts on it. Took a quick look at my Uk release of DBMD, sadly no red tinge on my copies Good luck with your collection I’m a dedicated collector myself. From now on I will be holding every copy of DBMD up to the light.

Also this German release of Sweet Talkin' is a orange/pale yellowish when put over a strong light. Hopefully someone may shine a light (see what I did there) on the TTS issue, just thought it weird as Jet loved to fill the back covers with New/Previous release info! It's almost up there with the cancelled ELO EP 2, using the abandoned leftover artwork for Here Is The News/Ticket To The Moon. Just seems a bit shoddy, they must have known the album was going to be huge

Ooh thanks for the link HoracewimpYeah I have a load of the styrene US mono/stereo promos, when you tap them they sound almost hollow (if that makes sense) rather than plastic

Would be a great collectors item. They heavily made up for the lack of promotion on TTS with the next three singles after that for OOTB. just off to check my German copy of sweet talkin’ woman.

Great info poorbob, wish they had brought out the 2nd EP although the cover would have been a bit bland compared to the artwork on the first EP. The star cluster cover really stood out. No luck either with my STW single

My copy of Hold On Tight
Turns out that all my singles released between 1977-1981 have the red tinge to them no matter the band or the record label, with the exception of All Over the World that's on MCA instead of Jet.

I seem to be the only ELO fan without a red tinge record I’m off again to check all my copies of Hold on tight. Knowing my luck.....
