Never heard of a 5” single before, nice collectors piece. My most unusual single is Don’t Cry by Asia the shape of the letter A. Also a couple of square shaped singles from A flock of seagulls.

I bought PJ and Duncan's 'Tonight I'm Free' with it's picture/poster sleeve from Woolies in the 90s. I don't know why I bought it, I didn't even like the song. It was in the bargain bin.
Eldorado is probably the only coloured vinyl I have. There are something's that you should NEVER divulge, this is one of those things.... I didn't buy it with my own money which makes me feel better. The first song I bought for myself was an Eternal cassette single, even then I was still at that impressionable age where you don't know what you like, or indeed it you like anything, so you buy what you are told to. Anyway, I'd only just upgraded from those read-along with the cassette storybooks ("when you hear this sound... turn the page").
When I did know what I liked it just so happened that there was a lot of vinyl to supply it. The first vinyl picture sleeve I chose for myself as likely something by New Order or Joy Division. I'd forgotten this but I did buy some coloured vinyl before Eldorado, this John Cooper Clarke single -
And as far as I'm aware 'Ticket to the Moon' is my only picture disc. What about flexi-discs? I only have one, Joy Division's 'Komakino' which was supposed to be free when it came out and I did get it free because I found it hidden inside the picture sleeve of another Joy Division single! Second-hand vinyl is great like that, unless you try to buy a 12" and end up with an MC Hammer LP instead of what you thought you were getting - top tip kids: always check what record is in the picture sleeve.

Confession time folks, when I had just started working full time in the early 80s I started to go to Leeds for my records and there was one brilliant second hand store called 'Amazing Records'. One day browsing in there I saw a 12" white label (Hold On Tight I think) this disc as was out of my price range so I took out the disc and gave it the 'once over' like you do to check for scratches and warps but I er... inadvertently put it into another disc sleeve that was a lot cheaper and put THAT disc into the Hold On Tight sleeve. Please forgive me,I'm not that bad....

I haven't played it in a while (mainly because I haven't got a deck!) but I remember when I did so,I had to manually put the arm on to the disc simply because it was 5" rather than letting the automatic process take over...

Don’t play much vinyl these days, but still like to collect it. You have to get yourself a deck timeblue before the vinyl police get there at least.....

I remember the song well but never had the record. But think I read about the song repeating the word beat until the arm was removed. Nice collectors item. Must get a copy. I like quirky records like that. Liked the song too.

I bought my first colored single today! Telephone Line on green vinyl. Fingers crossed it'll be my first picture sleeve, too... waiting for a call 'cos the guy at the record shop misplaced the sleeve First picture disc today as well:
Slightly disappointing that it's the same 5-minute song on both sides, since I thought it would be like a full album (and evidently the price tag must've thought so too)... but it is pretty to look at
