ELO's most beautiful power ballad? Well, it's right up there. If pushed I think I'd probably say Telephone Line, but not by much.
Generally speaking, considering how allegedly little attention Jeff gave to his words, many of his slower songs are surprisingly affecting IMO.

After hearing "Hold On Tight" on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Mighty 690 AM radio show back in late Summer 1981 while with family near Ventura, California, a U.S. Route 101 road trip to Santa Barbara's Mission when I was just 8 years old, Dad then bought me my very first Electric Light Orchestra album from Tower Records an audio cassette of Time by ELO, thus started the fandom 42 years ago!

That door needs a rub down.... Needs a decent primer as well before it's glossed. Shoddy workmanship previously... probably local Council slackers getting an early finish on a Friday

"Don't Bring Me Down" was released in the UK on August 24, while it saw its first release as a single here stateside (US) in late July 1979! This wasn't on Twitter or Facebook, only Instagram from two weeks ago... http://instagram.com/p/CwVP2-ssixC

Is there any exciting news in the world of Jeff Lynne's ELO?
This morning I watched the Rolling Stones interview / release of the first video off their new album. I enjoyed the entire event, and it is one way to drum up excitement. The album release is 20 October.

By September 1983 Bev had been touring with Black Sabbath for a month, and in late October 1983 Kelly accepted Jeff's settlement in exchange for being fired from the band. While I like the SM video, the guys don't look happy at all and that tells us all we need to know.
