Not that I particularly like remakes, but I would have enjoyed an album of old ELO album tracks re-recorded with different arrangements. Stuff like Bluebird is Dead, Mission, Laredo Tornado etc. To a certain extent, yes. I liked Jeff's remake of Xanadu (something that was ELO but wasn't ELO if you get what I mean?)

Sorry, but without Olivia Newton-John, Jeff Lynne sucked the life out of ONJ & ELO's "Xanadu" from 1980 with his new version in 2000, so that's a Xanadu not for me!

A re-recording of ELO classics with Jeff on lead vocals and guitar......and other musicians at the other instruments. Of course I've love Bev on the skins and Tandy on the keyboards, but I don't think that is likely.

I didn't say it was better, but I liked it in its own way.

Just my usual infrequent check-in to see that I haven’t missed any news, *sigh*.
I was beginning to get rather worried when Jeff didn’t give his usual holiday message to the fans in 2022, I do hope he’s still in good health. The Songwriters HOF announcement was a relief, and well-deserved, of course. At least it seems like the fans’ criticism of Jeff’s social media campaign has maybe finally had some effect, there’s been a few more posts lately that Jeff wrote himself, and the latest song anniversary post used the original instead of the 2012 or Wembley version...
I have a feeling that we’ll probably be retiring this thread soon.

We really can't be certain that Jeff wrote that 20 word thank you (not counting 2 words for his name) to his fans, especially since he has been quiet the past year. The best way to gauge his health is to have him sit down for a human to human live interview, and he doesn't do many of those. To end on a positive note though, as long as he is alive there is at least a 1% chance that he actually writes his own tweets and hits the send button.

There are three things wrong with this Tweet and Facebook reel... www.facebook.com/reel/1333198240806501/?s=1x1I think you meant 1980's as that's part of a lyric in this particular song, "Remember the good old 1980's" "Rain Is Falling" with "Another Heart Breaks" as its B-side debuted on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart at #107, January 30th, 1982, and would peak there at #101 until dropping off after 2/27/1982, so 5 weeks total, 107-102-101-101-101, "Ticket to the Moon" never was a single stateside despite what Wikipedia says! "Ticket to the Moon" was a double A-side with "Here Is the News", December 11th, 1981 in the UK and you already celebrated that here www.facebook.com/JeffLynnesELO/videos/670427501096976/

Fine, if you want to do it, but why come on here repeating it. It's very strange.
