I will not include From Out of Nowhere because I have not listened to it in full, but so far I do feel it's terribly bland - likely would rank it low.
1. Out of the Blue 2. Time 3. Discovery 4. A New World Record 5. Xanadu 6. Face the Music 7. Eldorado 8. Balance of Power 9. Secret Messages 10. On the Third Day 11. Zoom 12. Alone in the Universe 13. ELO 2 14. ELO
My goodness, this was harder than I expected it to be. Out of the Blue and Time are neck-in-neck for me, with OOTB barely beating out; I love both of these albums to death and can listen to them over and over. Time is stronger in its scrapped double album format so I'll guess we'll see if the rank changes if its ever released with the lost tracks. #3 - #7 are also incredibly close to each other, but not as high as OOTB and Time. #8 - #10 are albums I still very much enjoy, but aren't on par with the higher ups; few songs are dull. Zoom and AITU are okay with good song here and there. ELO 2 would be better but I'm not attached to it. ELO is the only one I call bad, with the exception of Mr. Radio, I can't even get into 10538 Overture, just not my taste.
Very interesting rankings from everyone. It's very cool to see everyone's perspectives.

go back to the beginning of this thread to see the consensus forum rankings if more votes come in, I may do an update - but enough votes are in to call the winner (sort of) thanks to those who voted

orioles70 : just curious, what will be the method used for determining the general standings? I kept is pretty simple. Created a spreadsheet and gave each answer a point score that matched the ranking. 1 pt for a #1 vote, 7 pts for a #7 vote, down to 15 pts for a last place vote and then calculated the average score for each album. Low scores are better than high scores by this method. I put the scores into the 1st post in this thread. The general ranking comes last - under section "e".

In the end I’m surprised Time is, albeit one above, higher than OOTB! (I listed Time at 4 and OOTB at 6). And, though it too is just above, Discovery over Secret Messages! (My list Secret Messages 3, Discovery 14) Because some spots are interchangeable, it was hard ranking some of the albums. Thanks for doing this orioles70 Lots of fun.

In fact I was going to suggest you that one.

I thought "Time" was going to win. The rest of the ranking doesn't surprise me much honestly, but it's good to have the statistical confirmation of what you can guess after so many years of reading opinions on this forum.
Nice to see "Face the Music" ranked at #4. I think it's a great album.
Thanks Orioles for doing it, good job.

another YouTube ranking of the ELO albums
could be some outrage at his "worst" choice he actually includes ELO part II in his rankings he calls Time "Twilight" - oops, but corrects his mistake in the caption for the album cover ranks Zoom above Time? (everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I like his explanation for why he ranks Zoom this high) he hates Last Train to London!!! this guy has some strange but magical opinions
LOL - prepare to be offended and delighted in alternating moments
