I find it kind of odd that this tour is coming a year after the album was released! surely he could have arranged the timing a bit better? I know that he has just finished a world tour but maybe the album could have been put back 6 months to say, March/April 2020 and then start the tour from there but what do I know....?

I bet more dates will be announced if tickets are selling well. I'll probably give it a miss for the same reasons as queenofthehours and Timeblue - might have given a European date a whirl but they are at the same time as I'm likely to be in Barcelona getting scorched again in the fire festival. Hopefully though the setlist will be shaken up and maybe the stage show too, to make it worth the ticket price. It's great to see Jeff being prepared to do all this touring considering how much he used to hate it. Shows how much he's enjoying playing with his new bandmates.

Jeff has avoided my birthday this time, only by one day though. He should know better by now

By the time I was old enough to go to concerts, and could afford it, ELO had disbanded. But, Hyde Park changed all that.
Any time Jeff & Co are on the road, and are at a venue I can get to, I'll be there.
I love the music, and hearing it played live by the Old Banger is a privilege. I don't intend to let it go to waste. He's not getting any younger, you know.
Besides, I love the atmosphere at those gigs. I'm not the only one with this crazy obsession.

Gonna have to start saving up, cos they're not gonna be cheap, already have Deep Purple and Whitesnake on the list for tickets but ELO trumps them. But please Jeff look at a new setlist, a quick look at the forum says I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Thanks for the code - I was a bit miffed earlier getting an email saying if I bought the album before Monday I could get a presale code - hardly fair for those I'd us who bought it months ago.

The £86 tickets will be miles away and you'll be watching the big screens rather than the stage..

Having to watch a screen is like being at a theater, but not theater prices.

I see all of this from a neutral perspective, as it means next to nothing to me, but I can understand why several forumheads won't be bothering this time: Jeff's setlists vary very little between concerts and between tours, and to boot, his versions of the songs vary nothing at all.
Add to that the prices (which don't look particularly economic to me, but then I am not informed of how much these shows cost in the UK), and it's easy to see why many are not going to attend again.

I'd be hoping to go to the Dublin gig. I went to the first one there a few years back- the one that had to be rescheduled. I couldn't justify going again when the second Dublin show came round - for reasons already mentioned, set list similarities and price. We're planning to go this time as a family. Our 12 and 10 year old genuinely love Jeff's songs and I said to them if he every came to these shores again, we'd all go. I would love a set list change...even a little Hold On Tight or Confusion would do me. Its their first 'proper' gig together so it'll be one to remember for them hopefully, no matter if the set list is very similar to previous shows...It's a pile of money to pay, but once in lifetime for them. That's how I'm trying to justify the expense.

The highest ticket price, I'm including fees, is around £200 a ticket? Is this VIP? Cause if it is, I can not believe how cheap those tickets are. If they were this price in the US, no problem going again. For two tickets, with fees we paid $1,400, both years. Next time, I expect Damey to perform in our living room!
Was it worth it? Yes.
