Wonderful, tremblinwilbury! I've been following the Fragata Libertad's trip and I knew they were in Ireland now but it's nice to see someone from the other side of the pond is aware too. The Admiral Brown was an outstanding figure in his time, a very respected man and a brilliant strategist who proved himself in the wars against Spain and Brazil. My grandfather (my mother's father) was a man of the Navy, and he served many times in the Fragata Sarmiento, which was the predecesor of the Fragata Libertad. Being a kid I visited both ships (the Sarmiento is still anchored in the dock and working as a museum) several times.
