...I had a very special visitor, none other than the Lord Dame himself, stopping by to promote his new album!
I showed him around my university campus a bit--he was well chuffed when another student in my economics class was cultured enough to recognize him! Even those who weren't aware that they were in the presence of a musical genius seemed to enjoy his company, though--and he proved to be very popular with a few of the ladies (who shall remain anonymous).
Despite college stereotypes, I had no wine to offer him, cheap or otherwise (though he may or may not have been able to try some Korean alcohol...). But, he did eventually manage to get his hands on a guitar! Was I serenaded with an exclusive performance of Songbird? Well, you'll just have to keep wondering, 'cos I won't say...
Among the plentiful festivities to be had that night was a Halloween costume contest, and I managed to convince him to enter, posing as a college kid dressed as Jeff Lynne. He won 3rd place--not bad! While maybe not as luxurious or eventful a stay as at some certain other forumheads' residences, he did have a fun time, and hopefully will visit again sometime in the future.
Brilliant Grroosss who would have thought Jeff would have had the time to visit your Halloween contest what with promotion of the new album. Just goes to show he does travel around in a spaceship. Looks like he had a great time.
Oi! Whaddyer mean, "almost" ? Oh deary, deary me, this is going to be fun...
Before I speed off with spanking slipper in hand and Timeblue scurrying for his life, must say how lovely it is to see the Lord Dame putting himself about amongst his fans and probably gathering loads more with his total gorgeousness. Well done Grroosss for capturing his visit so beautifully.
Now then...if elophile and BSJ haven't gotten there before me there's some delicious justice to be bestowed, the chase is on!
It's all good entertainment, it doesn't cost a penny
