I think the problem with AITU, at least for those of us who are fairly knowledgeable and experienced fans, is that it's too new to have any memories attached to it. Discovery and OOTB for instance have memories for older fans and the younger ones have the joy of classic songs that are well known on the radio whether you knew they were Jeff's of not. FOON on the other hand still holds promise and perhaps Jeff's next album will be even better still and we'll be remembering AITU as a classic in the future because time helps all albums. Although I'm not sure Zoom is a classic yet.
Perhaps in 20 or 30 years time a movie or a TV ad will use a song from AITU and make it as well-loved and memorable as 'Mr Blue Sky', who knows? And then we'll love the album more. I'm just rambling now but what I mean is new things, especially things that are newer but not brand new, aren't always the most loved things in the world.
