Really like that from Olivia, now all I have to do is apologise for not listening to it for forty years!!! In my defence I was a young teenage out and out ELO fan.

Never seen that before, the guy who posted this seems a bit of an ELO fan too judging by his logo...

I saw it at the theater, but I got in free because I worked at a drive-in owned by the same owner. That was one of the fringe benefits besides free popcorn and soda. Got to see lots of movies. It was not the safest location working the box office as it was outside the city limits and kind of isolated. Another box office guy got robbed because he would play his eight-tracks so loud to pass the time. He said he threw away the Deep Purple MACHINE HEAD tape because it brought back bad memories.
The movie did not thrill me much, but liked the music.

Olivia is looking pretty darn good. Considering her 3 bouts with cancer and that she's about to turn 72 - it's kind of amazing. Wonder what her secret is.

Thank you helpless for that clip of Olivia And to Horacewimp for that interesting early version. All this brought back memories of my uncle Tom and auntie Anne. The album was their present to me back then

Don’t really remember much about the film, took my first girlfriend to see it, so it’s a bit of nostalgia trip for me. She was an ELO fan as well. Went to “Ye olde” roller disco after this, I looked like Frankenstein on wheels. Still they were happy days.

I guess I kind of saw in cinemas. This movie is what planted the seed for my love of this band. I used to visit a local Family movie club here in Ottawa that would run films fresh from the cinema curcuits. So in 1980 a young me was witness to I'm Alive at the start and BAM! Loved that song. Movie not as exciting. Jump to a school book sale where for 50 cents I acquired the soundtrack to Xanadu and Eldorado on vinyl. Still part of my collection today and the rest is history. Let's just say I was the happiest camper getting the CD Afterglow box set the Christmas after its release. I had to hold off on buying it as my local record shop I frequented suggested I might want to wait. Hint. Hint. Say no more.

I like the three people squealing in the audience when he said "Xanadu." And he admits he's seen it.
