Yep,that's the one! I wonder if there's a warehouse somewhere filled with dusty boxes of unsold merchandise? I've never seen anything from that leaflet on ebay or suchlike...

It was kind of the end of being a kid and the start of being a teenager which I've never grown out of. I've not heard enough "it sucks" from you. Maybe you've finally grown out of teenage without realizing?

2012 was the year for me. That glorious April night, still in my 20s technically, when I said "OK, now it's ELO's turn, let's see what this band is about". After a couple of hours of going through different songs on YouTube I was like:

guess the first time I noticed ELO was 1976, but I'll go with 1977 because that's the year I wore out ANWR on my turntable it's got to be my most played album of all time and I've been a fan ever since also bought OOTB late that year

For me the crucial year was 1979 when that rather undercooked 'Greatest Hits' album was released. Being a bit long in the tooth i can well remember them scaring the living s**t out of me on TOTP as far back as 1972. They emerged from behind those Rhododendron bushes every now and then for the next few years. Every time they re-emerged they seemed a bit less scary and to my ears made a bit more musical sense. When i finally splashed the cash on the 'Greatest Hits', i was amazed that Jeff had written them all. Within about 6 months i'd bought everything they'd ever recorded...including those very, very early ones....which were if not scary then maybe still a bit puzzling at times.
