All I know is, there used to be a fan club in the late 70s early 80s. That pic is of a football team that Bev, Jeff, Richard and Mel played in (along with David Arden and Brian Jones amongst others) That's all I know!

I received a couple of those fan club mailings, too, when I joined the fan club back way back when, but I no longer have them.

I applied to join an ELO fan club around 1984ish and I'm assuming it was this one. I think it was in the process of closing because all I got was a couple of badges (Discovery) and a couple of postcards (one of Bev in his Black Sabbath days and a signed Balance of Power pic) but nothing else,no letter or whatever.

I believe what people are thinking about is "Face the Music" which started out as a sheet, went to a glossy magazine which I believe stopped in the mid 80@sand went online to become the ftm site it is today (although I felt the old newsletter and magazine was better and gave you more information as well as articles on ELO and associated people and contained some really interesting reading) I still have a folder with a load of "hard copy" Face the Music's both sheet and magazine.

I've got every FTM magazine, but these weren't connected with the fan club as far as I am aware.

I've got every FTM magazine, but these weren't connected with the fan club as far as I am aware. I don't remember the name of the fan club I joined, but I do remember having that folder. I think the info for joining the fan club I joined came with one of the albums (ANWR or OOTB?) or in a concert program, maybe? I really don't remember exactly. I remember getting photos of each band member, info about each member's favorite meal, favorite beverage, their place of birth and birthday, etc. It was very exciting for a teen fan like me! I remember that I got the newsletter with the photo of Jeff, Sandi, and Baby Laura, too!

I joined the FTM magazine subscription I’m sure it was around the time of ELO Pt2. I sold them all on eBay about ten years ago along with a scrap book of magazine cuttings and adverts, in my defence ELO weren’t very popular at the time.

Unomusette graciously sent me her copies of FTM a few years ago. I got a kick reading them and learned things I didn't know!
