“Jeff loved you girls, he absolutely loved you,” she told us. That's got to be the high point of the entire experience. No wonder you were tearing up. Blimey yes, on top of every other brilliant happening that day, totally well deserved you two, sniffle

Here are some appreciative comments from my Facebook group members about nobodyschild's and grroosss's account of their meeting with His Jeffness.
These two young women were the absolutely perfect people to win the contest. I have loved reading their saga and living vicariously through them. ❤️
Another wonderful account, thanks girls.😊
I'm glad they won
I have so enjoyed reading these girls once In a lifetime experience of that memorable night for them!
Such well written accounts of their thrilling once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm happy they won and will be able to share their experience for a lifetime!

The bassist throwing himself to the ground! That's something you wouldn't expect to see at a Jeff Lynne's ELO concert. Or maybe he tripped on a cable while walking backwards and fell on his back?

Au contraire! It was, in fact, evidently a reprise performance...
From the Who is Going Where 2019 Tour thread:
BIuebird . Bloody excellent shot of Roll Over Beethoven! Second from last.
I cropped it down to the naughty bit!

Brilliant front-row pics, girls, I love the second one of the players all in a row and Jeff looking right at you with a cute little smile

Certainly no demeaning comments because of our age there! I'm flattered, my thanks goes out to all of them.
Though I must admit, my favorite comment was one in reply to the official Jeff Lynne's ELO post: "You are famous now, girls. And can never go again to an ELO-Show without sunglasses. 😄👍👍"
...Just like the genius himself!

Sorry for making everyone wait again! But here’s the second-to-last installment... I, too, was standing there in stunned silence in the wake of Camelia’s visit, trying (and failing) to hold back tears. I managed to choke out a “Thank you” as she left, though I’m not sure she heard. Once we’d recovered our wits, we resumed jammin’ out... onstage or not, it must’ve been pretty entertaining and really just THAT noticeable, because—this time there was no doubt—the bass player waved directly at us! He, Mike, and Jeff were all playing right next to each other at that point, so he caught Mike’s attention as we were waving back. A flash of recognition crossed Mike’s face, and he waved to us too... I’m pretty sure even Jeff noticed, glancing up and smiling. Evidently our crazy dancing merited more, because some guy came out and gave us ANOTHER set of ELO guitar picks (or maybe he just hadn’t got the memo that we already had some?). And then—Emilie had mentioned it in passing earlier, but I hadn’t been able to believe my ears, so I’d assumed I’d misheard, but no—right towards the end of the set, Johannes returned with two copies of the setlist! Yeah, never mind the “standard” VIP goodies (t-shirt, tour program, poster, keychain, Bluetooth speaker)... Of course, Mr Blue Sky came and went much too quickly... once it was over, the arena erupted into cheers and screams and applause, Jeff waved at everyone, and I couldn’t possibly cheer hard enough... again, it had been an absolutely spectacular show. Jeff and Co took their selfie, and there was more cheering and lots of waving of flashlights as they ran offstage. A few impatient minutes later, they were back for the Roll Over Beethoven encore, Jeff silhouetted on the mostly-dark stage as the string trio took it away... and then the stage flared to life as the electric guitar came in. We danced our hearts out, far from alone this time, thank goodness! nobodyschild insists that Jeff sang “Dig these rhythm and blues” straight to us, so we made our dancing a little extra snazzy... as she pulled a sweet dance move rather reminiscent of the Twist, I noticed Jeff and Mike pointing in our direction as they said something to each other, and I grinned knowing they’d all been watching. And if you didn’t think that Lee Pomeroy on the floor was enough shenanigans, he also kept up the long-standing ELO tradition of playing someone else’s instrument during Roll Over Beethoven! (Photo credit nobodyschild) The arena was roaring with applause, and I spied Emilie at the backstage entrance; she swooped in to grab us well before the band had even left the stage. I craned my head for one last look at them as we left the arena, and then we were racing through the halls—it really did feel like a scene out of A Hard Day’s Night despite the lack of screaming Beatles fans chasing after us, all secretive and urgent as if we were famous. We bumped into Camelia on our way; again she told us how much Jeff had loved us, and that he hadn’t been able to stop talking about us pre-show, giving us both a hug... again I nearly died. We gathered our things from the management room—the guitar was a bit heavy, but of course I was never going to admit that, determined to Hold On Tight to it myself until we were home—and then Emilie led us through the halls, up a flight of stairs, and out a back door.

How lovely to hear this first-hand account of your awesome concert experience, short of having you both up on stage it couldn't have been much better. Thanks so much for going to the trouble of writing it up so we can all feel we were right there with you, sniffle. Looking forward to the epilogue...

Hey, maybe I would have made a terrible lady, but if I had been you and Camelia had insisted so much in how Jeff loved me I think I would have attempted a hit on him there and then. I think you missed a chance there, girls. Amazing the amount of things you got, where will the setlists go? Framing? The valuable things drawer? Wall?

I think you missed a chance there, girls. For now at least, mine is tucked safely inside my tour program, which I'm keeping with my vinyl. But framing, I like the sound of that...
