I'm glad to hear that it's doing so well in the UK! I think I have a few music-appreciating friends who might be getting a copy of FOON for Christmas. smileys-whistling-823718 Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but Mr. Bluebird loves the album. I didn't realize it until a few days before, but he was looking forward to the release, too. He kept asking if my copy came in the mail yet. I had to keep saying "No, the release date is not until Nov. 1st."

I've just logged on here and I'm sure i read someone doesn't like Strange Magic?? Very weird thing to say on an ELO board!! Agree. Strange Magic has been the most favorite song of mine for a long time. There's no accounting for taste.

My only real negative comments are thankfully not about the music. As an album, it's far too short - we all know that and that's how it's been with Jeff since Long Wave. There are some reasons of music busuiness. On subscriptions listeners won't buy songs with long intro. They can't wait to make sure of the punchline. And it may be that Jeff got sick of long tunes on the stage, feeling ''so tough to sing for my age''. Actually I feel the length of FOON is just right, and also love a sudden end like ''Help Yourself'' ''Time Of Our Life''.

What a ship that would be! but imagine if you were in a room where the flick of the 'o' is and you wanted to go to a room at the top of the 'E'? That would be some trek....

I'm sorry but that picture disc is underwhelming. Jeff's music deserves better.

The past few weeks I’ve been reading reviews and fan’s view’s of FOON.
For me it took a couple of plays to grow on me, but now I think it’s a really excellent album, there are some truly out-stand songs are on it (One More Time, Time Of Our Life, Help Yourself to name just three) and its much more “upbeat” then the last album “Alone In The Universe” (not that is anything wrong with that album) which had a couple of really good tracks on it (When I Was A Boy and Alone In The Universe) but to me FOON I feel is a much more rounded and complete album.
I never thought I would see ELO at number one in the UK album charts in 2019, so I am dead chuffed !
I keep playing FOON cos I want to and I find myself humming the tunes in my head all the time. Things have moved on from the 1970’s, so don’t expect big choirs or orchestra’s but there are synth strings on it and I think it’s the best ELO album in the past 30 years !
Hyde Park, London in 2014 was one of the best evenings of my life and to think we now have Jeff making great pop and rock albums in 2019 is truly amazing and (I think) the picture disc is a thing of beauty.
Jeff’s voice is really brilliant and his live band, and yes I am going to say “the magnificent 13”, is fantastic live. Now if they would only play “Horace Wimp” live my life would be complete.

Those little animated clips are really nice! Are there full versions with the whole song anywhere? Or are they exclusively teaser video clips?
