Ah, good news. Hoping for a more 70's style sound and not so Wilburyish. More strings, dammit!

Facebook post from David Pogue
“As my old high-school buddies can attest, I was a HUGE fan of ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) as a teenager. I wore those records out...ran to the piano to learn to play the songs, studying those cool chord sequences and lush string orchestrations. I had them all memorized.
And then, in 1978, ELO came to Cleveland on tour, in that giant neon clamshell-opening spaceship set. My buddies all went to see it--but not me. I was at music camp in Michigan!! I missed my one chance to see ELO live, and I've always had tinglings of regret. The band broke up in 1986.
Well, yesterday, for a "CBS Sunday Morning" profile, I got to spend the day with Jeff Lynne himself, who's doing his first ELO tour in 30 years. He turns out to be deeply shy (he says that's why he always wears the sunglasses) and hilariously self-deprecating. I also think he's a musical genius.
Anyway, it was such a thrill--he played me five songs from his new album, coming out in November. Such happiness. Such closure.”

Is this story from 2015 ?? Alone in the universe ?? good question - this is the interview that Jeff did with CBS in 2015 I don't know who David Pogue is - if it's the guy in the video, then maybe this is from 4 years ago. If not, then maybe Jeff is retracing his footsteps and doing similar promotion ahead of the new album. Not sure?

Is this story from 2015 ?? Alone in the universe ?? I’m fairly sure it’s new as the post has now been removed, probably said too much. Someone on Facebook has shown a message thread with Pogue when he says the CBS Special is for later in the year (2019) This is Jeff and David Pogue I don’t think it is the guy in the 2015 video.

I've been wondering when Jeff Lynne would appear on CBS Sunday Morning, since he already did CBS Saturday Morning Sessions, and then the new album in November, so it'll be a hopefully Happy Birthday (11/12/1972) to me, only 4 years ago it was one day late or more for both, nice!

Interesting information from Nicolas Guibert: A list of songs circulates on the internet. They could be the tracklist of the upcoming album. I made my own researches: here are below the tracks recently copyrighted. "From Out Of Nowhere" or "On The Horizon". For your information, there are not previously unreleased songs copyrighted earlier: "Do You Remember", "Don't Want To Lose It", "Heart Of You", "Hey Walking Man", "I Know That You Know", " I Made A Man Out Of You, "More Than Ever", "No One Knows", "Shard End Crescent", "Sad But It's True" And "Just A Matter Of Time". And from ASCAP: ALL I NEED IS YOU FROM OUT OF NOWHERE ALL MY LOVE LOSING YOU DOWN CAME THE RAIN FROM OUT OF NOWHERE GOIN 'OUT ON ME ONE MORE TIME TIME OF OUR LIFE WIFI WOMAN www.elodiscovery.com/all-over-the-world.html

From Out Of Nowhere or On The Horizon. I like the former because it's punchier. Hoping the first single is the title track.
