The web ASCAP collects 23 songs recorded by JEFF LYNNE'S ELO , among which are songs on the album ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE alongside 10 other titles unknown. Although there are those who think they might be alternative versions of the latter album. Following this they have jumped rumors that point to that are songs for the new job. ASCAP registered titles:

Maybe these are demos and Jeff is putting them out now rather than the obligatory 30 year wait....

reading through the song list, I find myself singing "my wi-fi woman, duh duh duh da duh da" to the tune of "Evil Woman"
is it normal to register alternative song titles just to preserve the naming rights? if so, that list list could be entirely driven by Alone in the Universe

The work IDs indicate the new songs were registered at different times than the old ones. ASCAP Repertory

Someone on Facebook who works for a European mail order record company says her employer has a "shopping list" of upcoming orders. One of them was
"10/2019 ELO Sony"
I don't know whether to get excited or not.

A so-called CDR acetate of Jeff's next album is supposedly doing the rounds at Sony's offices, and all ten of those songs recently spotted on the ASCAP website are included (the specific order has already leaked). Typically, a record label will have internal copies of any new material several months ahead of its release, so October seems a likely month to circle in your calendars...

It'd be great if the new album came out before this years tour. It's very unlikely at this point however.

There could be a likelihood of him playing tracks from the new album as part of the set on tour. This will give people a taste of what's to come and whet their appetites. The tour finishes in August so that gives September to issue a single and do promotion for an October release (just in time for the Christmas market)

I would imagine that the lead single will be played but nothing more, UNLESS....there is another tour planned for next year!

I seriously can't wait! I really hope he decides to tease us with a track on the tour. It looks like ShardEnder's already posted a little more info elsewhere, which I've compiled below: Attachment Deleted

Honestly, while I think it would be interesting to hear some new music from JL, there are plenty of the older, never-been-played-live songs that I'd like to hear more. I suspect I'm not alone in this. Very few of the newer songs have appealed to me the way the older ones did. I doubt that this is something that really matters to Team Jeff, so I will be happy to hear whatever new music is on the way!
