Here's another forum banner, if you're interested: I like it. It wouldn't be bad to change it from time to time. BTW, how are you doing, my most esteemed gentleman? Getting pumped with the NFL start surely? Is the weather in West Florida finally getting a bit cooler? Here in Buenos Aires it's raining cats and dogs right now, but I'm staying home, so let the weather ruin other people's activities or, as you Americans would say, let it rain in other's parades.

I'm doing alright, Helmut, thanks for asking. How have you been recently? I can't help but envy you and your rain after reading about it. The weather in this neck of the woods is erratic; the last several weeks have been dominated by sun, heat and humidity with a sprinkling of cloud cover (and wimpy storms) here and there.
As for the NFL: I haven't become all that excited just yet. The reactions of some players and teams to the "Michael Brown shooting" during the preseason was infuriating for me personally and a turn off. Plus, my interest in sports of all kinds seem to become less and less with each passing year or season. 'Which reminds me: you have my incredibly belated but sincere condolences in regards to Argentina's loss in the final . The footage that I did watch from that match opened my eyes to the intense emotion and passion of the fans, for sure.

Here's another forum banner, if you're interested: Thanks Rob I was thinking of changing the banner after the Hyde Park concert because we should have some good pictures going around we could use. Could you do me another one then please? Thanks HW

Thanks HW Sure, no problem... although it must be said that Mr. Lynne is not likely to recapture his and ELO's "peak" look from 1981 and '82.

I'm doing fine, better than ever I would say, thanks! Hey, take a listen to my impro-cover of "Summer and Lightning" on the "Music" section. I'm sure a delicate palate of music like yourself will find it unswallowable, but I'm kind of proud of it for having played all instruments so you better do like the others and act like it was a fine piece of music. I don't really know what happened with that Michael Brown shooting incident, but when everything is a good excuse for looting or taking revenge against people who have nothing to do, you know you are doomed. Like I told you in other occasions, it's either a dramatic 180º turnaround for your country or I will be welcoming you to the 3rd world in just a few years. Also, I cannot but assume you were already aware of how much of a dick (sorry for the language), if not plainly criminals, many NFL players are (same goes to NBA players and, to a smaller extent, to NHL players). Their money and their fame usually gets to their heads and they behave like terrible citizens, so I wouldn't have expected any better reaction from them. About Argentina's loss to Germany, well, it was tough having been so close. The game must have been dull as hell for a neutral spectator, but when there is so much at stake you don't even realize. As for the fans, yes, we Argies are specially passionate about our footy... but also, having many well-elaborated, long chants that everyone knows and sings at unison -something that no other country in the world seems to have- is, in my opinion, the most effective way of showing support and making yourself get heard in a stadium.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to check it out... and will act as if it were a fine piece of music, just like the others have.
The fact that you're a multi instrumentalist to begin with deserves recognition and respect.I don't really know what happened with that Michael Brown shooting incident, but when everything is a good excuse for looting or taking revenge against people who have nothing to do, you know you are doomed. Like I told you in other occasions, it's either a dramatic 180º turnaround for your country or I will be welcoming you to the 3rd world in just a few years. Ha! Don't get me started. As much as I appreciate modern day conveniences, the longer I live, the more selfishly convinced I am that this "soul" or personality or hunk of meat was born in the wrong place and at the wrong time in history... and is quickly losing interest in most things besides this general downward slide you're referring to.
Just be glad someone such as myself doesn't have any political power or access to some sort of big, red Easy Button®. Yes, our awareness in this regard is similar, but I'd take a more cynical view. There's no doubt that money and fame fuels the negative fires for some of these athletes, but I'd bet that the behavior of many would be similar or the same without all of the money, fame and adulation. 'Maybe even worse in some (if not most) cases.About Argentina's loss to Germany, well, it was tough having been so close. Yeah, the Superbowl may be a big deal for huge numbers of Americans, but it's admittedly nothing when compared to the World Cup. Perhaps becoming a fan of fútbol and watching it regularly would relieve some of life's stresses... or magnify them when roughly four years worth of work is on the line in a single, nail biting match.
Who knows, maybe Argentina will win it all in 2018... aunque, no debe ser saludable para acabar contra un equipo que representa a la propia patria ancestral, o lo que queda de ella.
