elophile I didn't find your voice annoying, either. Yeah, your voice didn't annoy me. We must just be used to ourselves! I think my voice is nasally plus when I get nervous and the uptalk?? and "likes" just start flying out of my mouth! At least I don't have vocal fry!!

elophile: if you ever dislike your own voice, think that you could have Phil Collin's voice.

When it comes to annoying voices, I yet have to come across an individual whose voice is worse than this guy's (sorry Horacewimp and other Brummies, I know the guy is a fellow citizen of yours and Jeff, but still...):

I really enjoyed the episodes I listened to. I'll probably listen again. They're short so it's not a lot of investment. It's an interesting format to focus on one song as it brought me back to some ELO songs I haven't listened to in a while. The only fault I found was that they created some nice little jingles to go along with the show but the jingles don't sound like ELO. That's a huge missed opportunity! StrangeMagic are you involved in the podcast as well? I heard your book advertised. Those are paid advertisements.

Horace, you are so fickle! Nope. The hosts voices don't bother me. I like that the episodes are short, plenty of info, some interesting insight, and easy, breezy fun.

eloneen elophileAww, you both are too kind. I don't think I have vocal fry, or that I do much uptalking, but when I'm anxious, all the "likes" and "ums" come out to play. I also really dislike my laugh. Even my friends made fun of it, which sort of made me not want to laugh. I'm enjoying the podcasts; they are concise and quite a lot of interesting information is packed into each episode.

Something about the hosts really rubs me the wrong way.I appreciate the effort, but just wish different people were involved. I guess everyone isn't going to like everybody. You realize it's one of the hosts who posted the announcement, right? idc .

I have vocal fry, and find myself laughing at my own voice sometimes. Fuck it.

My voice is flat and nasally. I can't stand hearing myself. Interesting, my sister and I sound alike.

No one I know likes to hear his/her own voice, it's the norm. It seems as if from inside ourselves we hear it as better than it really is, and then when we are confronted with the true sound of it (like in a recording) we get an unpleasant shock.
